How It Works
What is the Nansen Referral Program?
Anyone can refer their friends to Nansen and earn commission when their referrals trade, subscribe to Pro, or buy API credits.
You can now earn up to 47.5% on trading volume you refer, across 3 different referral levels.
The higher your Points tier, the higher your commission rate.
Who can refer people?
Anyone with a Nansen account. Share your referral link from Points Hub and start earning immediately.
Earning Structure
What are the ways to earn?
There are three streams of earning:
Trading fees - earn a % of fees every time your referrals trade on Nansen. Automatically, every time.
Subscriptions - earn 10% when a new user purchases a paid plan through your referral link (first 12 months from payment).
API credits - earn 10% on each confirmed API credit purchase by your referrals (first 12 months from payment).
How much do I earn per trade my referrals make?
Your earning rate depends on your Points tier:
Rates apply to trading fees only. Subscriptions and API credits earn 10% on direct referrals (L1) for 12 months from first payment.
What are L2 and L3 earnings?
When your referrals refer other people, you earn a percentage of their trading activity too - not just your direct referrals.
L1 is your direct referrals
L2 is their referrals
L3 goes one level further.
⚠️ Compound earnings only apply to trading. Subscriptions and API credits earn on direct referrals only.
Do trading commissions expire?
Trading commissions are locked at signup, earning for life.
Subscription and API credit commissions are paid for the first 12 months from payment.
Do my referrals need a paid subscription for me to earn from their trading?
No. As long as they're trading on Nansen, you're earning.
But, if they subscribe to a Pro plan, you gain earn an extra 10% the first 12 months from payment.

How does my referral link work?
Share your unique referral link (found on Points Hub).
Anyone who signs up through it is attributed to you permanently - attribution never changes once set.
Does my referral link give the new user a discount?
Yes. Those who sign up through your link automatically get 10% off their paid plan and trading fees.
How long does attribution last after someone clicks my link?
On web, the referral code is stored for 30 days. If they sign up within that window on the same browser, you get credit.
On mobile, there's no expiry - it persists until signup completes or they reinstall the app.
What if someone clicks my link on mobile but signs up on desktop?
Attribution doesn't carry across devices or browsers. If they click on mobile but sign up on desktop (or different browser), the referral won't be attributed.
For best results, encourage same-device signups.
If someone clicks multiple referral links, who gets credit?
Last click wins. The most recent referral link click before signup gets the attribution.
Referrals & NXP
Do I earn NXP from referrals?
Every $1 of commission you earn = 1 NXP.
This applies across all three streams (trading, subscriptions, API credits).
NXP from trading is available immediately.
NXP from subscriptions and API credit are available after a 120-day holding window (to account for refunds/chargebacks).
Where can I track my referral performance?
You'll have access to a real-time dashboard showing your referral activity, trading volume, and earnings.
