Can I use the CLI?
Yes, you can use the CLI to explore and build with Nansen data. The CLI is powered by the Nansen API.
Building
What should I build?
Anything that uses Nansen data in a meaningful way.
For example:
A game
An AI agent
An alerting system
A wallet monitoring tool
A trading or execution bot
A research or profiling tool
A dashboard or visualization
Something we haven't thought of yet
The key requirement is that Nansen data should drive an important part of the build's functionality or logic — not simply be displayed as decoration.
Do I need to build a trading bot?
No, that's one option, not a requirement. Try building a game, a visualization, or a novel tool using Nansen data.
We’re encouraging users to be creative and try something new. Consider building a viral app, a creative visualization, or something completely new! Judges will consider how good a submission is at capturing attention and keeping users engaged.
If I build a trading bot, do I need real capital?
You'll need a small amount of your own capital to demonstrate the trade execution. The trades don’t need to happen live, but the demonstration needs to shows real trades.
What have other users built with the Nansen API?
Earlier this year Nansen ran a CLI builder’s campaign and catalogued some of our favourite submissions. View past submission here!
All work belongs to the original creators. Data powered by the Nansen API. The repos are user submissions and Nansen doesn't have any affiliation with the repos themselves.
Can I use AI tools to build?
Yes, vibe code it, use Claude, use Cursor, or whatever tool suits. We're judging the output, not the process.
