What is NX8?

NX8 is a tokenized Layer-1 index that provides diversified exposure to eight major blockchain networks: BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, TRON, HYPE, AVAX, and SUI. It's built and operated by OpenDelta using institutional-grade infrastructure.

NX8 represents exposure to the Layer-1 networks that power real crypto use cases—payments, DeFi, derivatives, RWAs, and store of value.

Who built NX8?

NX8 is built and operated by OpenDelta.

Nansen's role is strategic partnership - running validators that stake the underlying assets, informing index construction with onchain analytics, and bootstrapping the product with our community.

Is NX8 audited?

What networks are included in NX8?

NX8 tracks eight leading Layer-1 networks:

  • ETH (Ethereum)

  • SOL (Solana)

  • BNB (BNB Chain)

  • TRON

  • HYPE (Hyperliquid)

  • AVAX (Avalanche)

These networks were selected based on their relevance to core onchain applications: stablecoin payments, derivatives trading, DeFi, RWAs, and store of value.

Does the index composition change over time?

Yes. The composition is dynamic and reviewed every six months to reflect changes in the market.

Networks may be added, removed, or reweighted based on:

  • Long-term relevance and performance

  • Changing market conditions

  • Emergence of new L1s with proven traction

This ensures NX8 continues to represent the winning Layer-1s that capture users, developers, and value over time.
